During this course we provide an introduction to the Spark Vector Connector 3.0 and guidance on how to install and configure the Spark-Vector Provider, import and export data using the Spark connector and demonstrate how to use the new staging table feature.

About this course

At the end of this course you will:
You will have the knowledge and knowhow for installing and configuring the Spark-Vector Provider. You will know how to import from a cloud storage source into Vector, export data from a Vector instance as well as migrating data from one Vector instance to another using the Spark connector.  You will also be familiar with the new feature, staging tables, and the value that this feature can add by pre-processing data before loading it into a Vector instance.
Course Style:
The content is presented via eight lessons which you are able to navigate as you wish however the course is not considered to be completed until all content has been viewed at least once.  Each lesson presents a specific topic in an informative and how to type style.
Audience:
For System or Database Administrators who have responsibility pre-processing and ingesting data into Vector using external tables.
Prerequisites:
The course assumes an elementary/no knowledge of the Actian Vector SQL and data manipulation.  Some knowledge of SparkSQL functions could be beneficial but not essential.
