These days, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python take the lead in any popularity context for programming languages. And of course, everyone wants to write micro services to automatically deploy on Kubernetes. Yet most existing applications are still in C/C++, something .Net, or Java. They use OBDC, JDBC, or JPA, to access large database servers. Neither these applications nor the database servers are easily migrated to the new and shiny world of containerization.
